I had an extremely disturbing experience with Mum's Lap Day Care. On 14 April 2026, my one-year-old daughter suffered second-degree burns when hot tea was allegedly left within reach of children and spilled on her chest due to negligence. What made the situation even more concerning was that we were informed about the incident nearly an hour later. When we requested CCTV footage to understand exactly what happened, our request was refused. Instead of showing accountability and empathy, the staff's response was disappointing and unprofessional. We immediately took our daughter for medical treatment, first to Kamboj Hospital and then to Max Hospital Mohali, where doctors diagnosed second-degree burns and provided emergency treatment. No parent should ever have to see their child go through such pain while under the care of a facility they trusted. We have since filed complaints with the relevant authorities and sought action regarding the incident. To make matters worse, our elder daughter, who had been associated with the school for a long time, was later removed after we raised concerns about the incident. Child safety should be the highest priority for any daycare or play school. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility to parents looking for a safe and transparent environment for their children.
