Question about EuroSchool Whitefield's curriculum

Hi everyone, I've seen mentions that EuroSchool Whitefield follows a 'Balanced Schooling' approach alongside the CBSE curriculum. Could any current parents share their experience with this? I'm trying to understand how exactly they balance academics with other activities and if it’s working well for the students. Thanks in advance for your insights!

We’ve been at EuroSchool for two years now. I personally feel the balance is decent—they don't just push rote learning, which is a relief. The kids get decent exposure to things beyond textbooks, but do expect to put in some effort at home for the tougher topics.

My son is in the EuroJunior program and we have been happy so far. The sports facilities are great, but honestly, with the heavy school bag and commute, he is quite exhausted by the time he reaches home. Are you planning to opt for the school transport or will you be doing pick-up yourself?

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. The 'Balanced Schooling' is definitely more than just a tagline—they have dedicated 'Argue' and 'Explore' hours, which means my daughter is actually excited about robotics and public speaking instead of just doing worksheets all day. Academically, they are quite rigorous with CBSE, so you don't need to worry about syllabus completion, but I suggest you look at their afternoon schedule before finalizing since it can be quite hectic for smaller kids.

Honestly, I find the extracurriculars are a bit hit-or-miss depending on the coach. My son loves the football sessions, but I felt the arts program could be better organized. Academically, the teachers are quite supportive, so if your child struggles with a concept, you can easily approach them.

Is anyone else concerned about the frequency of internal assessments? I feel like between the 'Balanced Schooling' activities and regular unit tests, the kids hardly get any downtime. I’m thinking of speaking to the class teacher about this during the next PTM.

Thanks for the query! From my experience, the 'Balanced' part is more about exposure than mastery. If your child is very academic-focused, you might find some of the mandatory activities distracting, but for an all-rounder approach, it works quite well.

I have seen a lot of progress in my son’s confidence since moving him to EuroSchool. They really do integrate co-curriculars well into the weekly timetable rather than keeping them as 'extra' burdens. Just keep in mind that the assessment style is a bit different from traditional rote-learning schools, so if you are specifically looking for a very strict exam-oriented environment, you might find this shift interesting.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. The 'Balanced Schooling' is mostly visible in how they integrate sports and hobby clubs within the timetable, so it doesn't feel like an extra burden after school hours. They have a structured 6-point philosophy, and honestly, it does keep the kids engaged without compromising on CBSE core subjects. Just keep an eye on the workload during exam weeks, as that’s when it gets a bit intense!
