· Bengaluru3d agoHi, my daughter is in Grade 4 at NPS JP Nagar. The academics are definitely rigorous and the pace is quite fast, so be prepared for a lot of homework from day one. If you want a disciplined environment where the focus is purely on studies and competitive exams, NPS is the way to go. Silicon Valley is a bit more relaxed, so it depends on what your child's personality is like.

· Bengaluru3d agoNPS JP Nagar is very hard to get into, so keep your options open. The teaching quality is excellent, but the crowd is very academically inclined. If your child is sensitive to pressure, please consider this aspect before finalizing.

· Bengaluru2d agoWe looked at both and finally went with Silicon Valley. NPS is great for academics, but I felt the environment at Silicon Valley was much more balanced with sports and extra-curriculars, which we really wanted for our son.

· Bengaluru1d agoNPS JP Nagar is definitely the tougher school to get into, so do you have a backup plan if they don't call back? It’s a solid school for competitive exams later on, but the commute matters too, so check the bus routes first!

· Bengaluru1d agoMy son is studying at Silicon Valley. We chose it because they encourage extracurriculars much more than the NPS group. Academics are good, but they don't put the same kind of pressure that my nephew faces at NPS. If you want your child to have a balanced life, go for Silicon.

· Bengaluru12h agoPersonal suggestion: go for NPS if you are looking for long-term academic stability. The faculty there is very experienced.

· Bengaluru1h agoI have seen both, and honestly, it boils down to what you prioritize. NPS is very structured, almost to a fault sometimes, but the results speak for themselves. Silicon Valley feels a bit more holistic. Have you checked the commute? That is the biggest factor in Bangalore after all!
