Does the TC need to match the APAAR ID?

· Bengaluru3d agoYes, please be extremely careful. My daughter's admission got delayed by two weeks last year because the spelling of her father's name in the TC didn't match the Aadhaar details linked to the APAAR ID. The school office won't budge once the file is uploaded, so check every single letter now while you are still with the current school.

· Bengaluru2d agoIs it mandatory for all classes now? Our school told us they are only doing it for Grade 9 and above, so I haven't really looked into it yet. Thanks for the heads up, I will check the records today just to be safe.

· Bengaluru2d agoI faced this exact issue last month. The administrative staff at our school mentioned that the APAAR ID is linked directly to the Aadhaar database, so any mismatch in the date of birth or spelling will definitely cause a flag. Better to double-check the TC draft before they sign it.

· Bengaluru2d agoYes, please be very careful! My daughter’s school made a small typo in her name on the TC, and the system rejected the APAAR linking immediately. You should get it corrected on the TC first, otherwise you'll be running between the school office and the portal for weeks.

· Bengaluru1d agoCheck with the school registrar once. In our case, they updated the child's profile on the portal themselves before issuing the TC to ensure everything was synced perfectly.

· Bengaluru1d agoJust ensure the school records match your child's Aadhaar card exactly, as that's what the APAAR system pulls from. If the TC has a nickname or a slight variation in the middle name, the portal will likely throw an error. It is a headache to fix later, so verify everything now.

· Bengaluru1d agoDon't take a risk. I have seen that even a minor mismatch in the date of birth format causes a rejection in the portal. I suggest you try to get a corrected TC issued immediately before you hand over the original to the new school, as correcting it later is a nightmare.

· Bengaluru13h agoIs this mandatory now for all grades? I haven't received any notification from our school regarding the APAAR ID yet. Should I proactively ask the class teacher or just wait for the circular?
