Any feedback on Kunskapsskolan Bengaluru?

Has anyone here enrolled their child at Kunskapsskolan Bengaluru? I am interested in how they blend the CBSE curriculum with their Swedish-based pedagogy. I would love to hear your honest experience regarding the teaching style and overall environment if you have a kid studying there. Thanks in advance for your inputs!

It’s a different vibe entirely! My kid is in middle school and loves the personalized study plans. Just make sure you stay on top of the 'logbooks' at home, as that’s how they track progress. If you are comfortable with your child taking ownership, it’s a good fit.

We moved our son to Kunskapsskolan last year for the same reason. The blend is decent, but please don't expect it to be a standard coaching-center-style CBSE school. They focus more on projects and individual attention, which we really liked. Just a small tip: try to visit during their 'open day' to see how the teachers actually interact with the students in the hubs.

Is anyone else concerned about the frequency of teacher turnover lately? We like the school environment, but my kid has had three different homeroom teachers in two terms, which is a bit unsettling for us parents.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. Honestly, the self-goal setting aspect is great, but it takes time for the kids to get used to it. The teachers are very approachable compared to the old-school setups, but don't expect the typical heavy rote-learning style found in regular CBSE schools.

Is this the one near Bannerghatta Road? I checked it out last month, but the infrastructure felt a bit different compared to the older, more established schools in the area. Have any parents here felt the school is too unstructured for younger primary kids?

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. Honestly, the 'KED' program is quite unique and forces the kids to take ownership of their learning, which is a big change from traditional rote learning. However, keep in mind that since they focus heavily on self-study and goal setting, your child needs to be self-motivated. If your kid struggles with organization, you might need to be very hands-on at home initially. Hope this helps!

We moved our son out after a year. While the campus and Swedish methodology sound fancy, we felt he was struggling to catch up with the core academic rigour required for competitive exams later on. It really depends on whether you want a holistic approach or a result-oriented one.

My niece studies there. It is definitely more expensive than most CBSE schools in the area, so ensure you visit during school hours to see if the 'blended' approach works for your child's personality.
