Feedback on Narayana Techno School environment

Just wanted to share a quick observation for those considering Narayana Techno. The student body there seems to be predominantly Telugu-speaking. It might be worth checking if your child would be comfortable in that kind of environment before finalizing the admission.

Thanks for sharing. Does this impact the classroom interaction, or is it mostly just during free time?

This is a valid point. My niece goes there and she did feel a bit isolated in the beginning because she doesn't speak Telugu. If your child is shy, it might take them a little longer to make friends compared to a more linguistically diverse school.

I have seen this too. Most of the teaching staff also tends to communicate in Telugu during breaks, which can be a bit alienating for kids from other states. If you are okay with your child picking up the language, it’s fine, but definitely something to consider.

Good observation. Have you checked if they have any language integration programs or clubs? It might be worth asking the admissions counselor how they handle linguistic diversity in the classroom to ensure no one feels left out.

It’s definitely branch-dependent, but yes, you’re not wrong. My son is currently in the 6th grade at the Whitefield branch and while the curriculum is strong, most kids do tend to stick to their own linguistic groups during lunch or breaks. I suggest you try visiting during dispersal time to see if the overall vibe feels comfortable for your child.

Which branch are you referring to? We are in the Bangalore branch and the environment is actually quite mixed. I think it depends heavily on the specific campus location, so maybe visit during dispersal time to see for yourself.

This is a very valid point you have raised. I have seen that in many branches, the teachers also explain concepts in Telugu, which becomes a major barrier if your child doesn't know the language. We faced this issue in 4th grade and had to move my daughter to a more cosmopolitan school for better English communication.

Actually, my son is in the 5th grade there and he hasn't faced any issues. The kids are generally very helpful, and honestly, children learn languages so quickly these days. I wouldn't let this be the only deciding factor.
