Hi everyone, I'm considering Baldwin School on Richmond Road for my child. Could any parents currently associated with the school share their honest feedback? I'm curious about the academic environment, overall management, and extracurriculars. Any insights or experiences you can share would be really helpful for my decision. Thanks!

Does anyone know if they have started the admission process for LKG yet? I am also considering Baldwin for my niece but I've heard mixed reviews about the fee hikes recently.

Hi, my daughter is in 4th grade at Baldwin Girls. Honestly, the legacy is great but the school is getting quite crowded lately. Academics are solid if your child is self-motivated, but don't expect much individual attention from teachers. You should definitely visit during school hours to check the traffic situation on Richmond Road; it's a nightmare during dispersal.

Stick to the ICSE board there if you want a strong foundation, but honestly, the workload is quite heavy from middle school onwards. My neighbors moved their daughter out because the academic pressure became too much. It really depends on what your child's learning style is.

My son passed out from Baldwin Boys last year. The discipline is strict, which is a good thing, but the management can be quite old-school and rigid. If you want a school that focuses on holistic development, you might find it a bit traditional, but their sports facilities are still among the best in the city.

Hi, my daughter is in 6th grade at Baldwin Girls. Honestly, the legacy and discipline are great, and they focus a lot on character building, but do keep in mind that the campus is quite old and can get very crowded during dispersal. Academically it is quite rigorous, so ensure your child is prepared for the homework load. Are you looking at the ICSE stream specifically?

We moved our kid out after primary school. While the academics are decent, I felt the classrooms were becoming too packed, which made it hard for teachers to give individual attention. I’d suggest you try to visit during the morning rush hour to see if the environment suits your child’s personality.

I have seen that Baldwin is excellent for extra-curriculars like choir and inter-school sports. My nephew has really blossomed there because of the competitive environment. Just be prepared to be very involved as a parent; you will need to support a lot of home-learning if you want your child to stay on top of the curriculum.

My son passed out from the boys' school two years ago. It’s a very traditional setup—if you want a balanced environment where they value extracurriculars like sports and inter-school fests alongside studies, it’s a solid choice. Just be prepared for a bit of a 'bureaucratic' management style when it comes to fee receipts and administrative queries.
