Is NPS KR Puram a good choice for my child?

I have been hearing good things about NPS KR Puram. It looks like a huge campus spread over 6 acres, but I would love to hear from parents whose kids are already studying there. How is the academics, teacher support, and overall school environment? Would appreciate your honest feedback before I finalize my decision.

Good school overall. My nephew studies there and he is quite happy, though the pressure during exam season can be real. If your child is hardworking, they will thrive there.

We moved our son to NPS KR Puram last year and honestly, the shift from his old school was smooth. The sports facilities are much better than other branches, and they really push for extracurriculars alongside academics. Just keep in mind that the focus is very much on competitive exams in the higher grades, so plan accordingly.

It's a solid choice, but look into their extracurriculars. While the campus is huge, I feel the sports facilities are still developing compared to some other international schools in the area. Are you looking for a more balanced approach or strictly academics?

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. Academics are definitely strong, but be prepared for a very rigorous pace. The teachers are knowledgeable, but they expect the kids to be quite independent with their project work from a young age.

NPS is known for their discipline, and KR Puram is no different. My son has been there for two years and the focus on core subjects like Math and Science is excellent. Just don't expect too much spoon-feeding from the staff.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. The infrastructure is definitely top-notch, but be prepared for a heavy academic load from Grade 3 onwards. The teachers are very professional and strict, which works for some kids but might be stressful if your child needs a lot of hand-holding. It’s a solid choice if you want a disciplined environment.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the commute. Have you checked the transport routes yet? Traffic near KR Puram is a nightmare, so ensure the bus travel time doesn't tire out your little one before they even reach class.

I visited last month and honestly, the infrastructure is top-notch, but do check the bus routes first. My concern is the traffic around KR Puram during peak hours, so if you are staying far, consider if the long commute will tire your child out.
