Is the admission test valid across all branches?

· Bengaluru2d agoUsually, it depends on whether the branches are under the same management society. When I applied for my daughter last year, the main city branch told us their test score is valid for the satellite centers, but not the other way around. Better to call the admission office directly to avoid wasting time on multiple forms.

· Bengaluru1d agoIn my experience with the DPS chain, the test is common, but the cut-off marks vary significantly by branch. Even if you qualify for one, they might tell you that the specific branch you want is already full. Please double-check the vacancy status before you register for the test.

· Bengaluru1d agoIt’s a headache, but usually, you have to give separate tests. My nephew tried applying to two branches of the same brand, and both schools insisted on their own assessments. Check if they have a 'common admission portal' on their website.

· Bengaluru1d agoUsually, the core branches follow a centralized system, so your child's score will be valid across those. However, for franchises, they are often run independently by different trusts, so they will definitely ask you to sit for a separate test. I suggest you call the specific branch admissions office directly before paying any registration fees.

· Bengaluru20h agoIn my experience, even within the same brand, each branch likes to conduct their own assessment. When I was looking for my daughter last year, one branch refused to accept the scores from the other because they claimed their internal 'benchmarking' was different. It’s better to just clarify with the principal's office to avoid wasting time.

· Bengaluru3h agoMost of these big chains keep the process separate to manage their local seat capacity. Have you already shortlisted which branches you are aiming for? It might be worth checking if they have a common portal for applications.

· Bengaluru2h agoMost of these big school chains keep their branches completely independent, unfortunately. I had to pay separate registration fees for two different locations because they don't share the database. Don't assume anything until you get it in writing from their admin desk.

· Bengaluru1h agoWe faced the same confusion last season. We gave the test for the prime location, and they allowed us to use that same score for the franchise branch nearby since it was a late-admission vacancy. Just request the principal for a score transfer if your child performs well in the first one.
