Is Inventure Academy good for balancing sports and academics?

I'm currently looking for a school that offers a really strong balance between academics and sports/extra-curricular activities. I've heard good things about Inventure Academy in this regard. For those of you with kids there, would you recommend it? Is the focus on sports actually as good as people say while still keeping up with studies?

I have seen many kids excel at both, but please note that the commute to Whitefield can be a real headache if you live in South Bangalore. Don't underestimate how tired your child will be after that bus ride. Academically it’s strong, but you have to be ready for the pressure during exam months.

It's a solid choice if you want a holistic environment. My elder one finished there and managed to get into a good university, so the balance is definitely achievable if the child has good time management skills.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 7 at Inventure and honestly, the balance is quite decent. They have a structured sports program, but do keep in mind that as kids reach higher grades, the pressure to maintain academic scores definitely increases. If your child is serious about a specific sport, you might need to manage their time outside of school hours as well.

We moved our son to Inventure specifically for this reason last year. The facilities are top-notch and they really encourage participation, not just for the school team but for everyone. It’s a busy schedule, but he’s happier than he ever was in his previous school.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 7 at Inventure. Honestly, the focus on sports is definitely not just for show; they have a very structured 'Core' program where kids have to commit to a sport. It gets quite hectic during tournament seasons, but the teachers are generally supportive if you communicate early about travel schedules.

Just a follow-up question: which sport is your child interested in? Their facilities for swimming and basketball are top-notch, but some other sports have fewer slots. We’ve had a good experience so far!

Are you looking at the ICSE or IGCSE board there? The workload varies a lot, so that’s an important factor to consider before you commit.

We moved our son there specifically for the football program. It’s excellent, but keep in mind that the academic rigor increases significantly once they reach the IGCSE years. Make sure your child is prepared for that shift.
