Has anyone received a BEO notice about student enrollment?

Many schools are currently sending out notices on behalf of the BEO to verify if children are school dropouts. If a child isn't admitted in a school, we are being asked to provide details. Has anyone else received this request or knows exactly why this is being tracked so strictly right now? Just want to make sure I understand what is needed.

Hi, yes, our school principal sent a circular about this last Tuesday. Apparently, the government is trying to map out children who have shifted to homeschooling or have taken a gap year post-COVID. Just fill out the Google Form they sent, it’s mostly just asking for the child's Aadhar number and current learning status to avoid any legal hassle later.

I have seen this notice floating around in my society group as well. It is basically the education department trying to track the Right to Education (RTE) compliance. If your child is already in a registered school, you have nothing to worry about; just provide the admission number if the school asks for it.

This strict tracking is usually to keep a check on private schools to ensure they are filling their mandatory RTE quota. When you submit your details, just make sure you don't share any sensitive documents via WhatsApp. I suggest you try to submit the information directly through the school's official portal or a physical hard copy to be safe.

My son's school asked for a signed declaration yesterday. They said the BEO is conducting an audit to ensure no child is left out of the formal system. It took two minutes to sign, so don't stress too much about it.

Yes, our school sent a circular about this last week too. I think it’s part of a government initiative to ensure 100% enrollment, especially post-pandemic, so don’t worry, it’s not just you. They just need the UDISE details if you have changed schools recently, so just keep your child’s transfer certificate handy.

Is this applicable for pre-primary kids too? My daughter is 4 and we are waiting for the next academic session to start, so I haven't enrolled her yet. I'm worried if this will create an issue for us.

My son's school asked us to fill a Google form for this yesterday. The administration mentioned that the Block Education Officer is cross-verifying data against the Aadhaar portal to track out-of-school children. It's a bit of a hassle, but I suggest you just provide the details they ask for quickly so your child's records stay updated in the central system.

Is this mandatory for everyone or only for those who changed schools recently? My daughter is in the same school since UKG, so I haven't received any such notice yet. Please let me know if I need to proactively ask the principal.
