· Bengaluru2d agoIf the school isn't registered, they technically cannot issue a valid SAT number. I suggest you try to get a transfer certificate to a recognized school as soon as possible, otherwise, the child’s academic records will not be valid for higher studies. We faced this issue in my nephew's case and it was a headache to fix later.

· Bengaluru2d agoHi, let me clarify—the SAT (Student Achievement Tracking) number is mandatory for all students enrolled in recognized schools as it's linked to the UDISE+ database. Our school sent a circular last month saying that without this, the child's records won't show up in the government portal, which causes major issues for future grade transfers. If the school is unrecognised, they don't have access to this portal, so you won't get a number, but that's a big red flag for the school's credibility.

· Bengaluru2d agoI have seen many parents getting confused here. If your school is not officially registered, they technically cannot generate a valid government SAT number, which might cause trouble when you seek admission to a bigger school later. I would suggest you try visiting the nearest block education office to verify if your school is actually on the government list before it becomes a bigger headache for the child’s records.

· Bengaluru2d agoI was confused about this too! When I spoke to the principal at our school, they said it is a government mandate, so there is no escaping it. Does your child’s school not have a portal login yet? You should probably check if they are affiliated with the board or just a private unrecognised setup.

· Bengaluru2d agoMy son's school has been pestering us for Aadhar verification to generate this SAT number for weeks now. It’s strictly required for any formal schooling, so please check with your school’s admin immediately to see if your child is registered.

· Bengaluru2d agoIt's definitely required for all students now for tracking purposes. Our school updated us on this last month and they are linking everything to Aadhar too. Best to confirm with the school office tomorrow morning!

· Bengaluru17h agoHi, let me clarify—the SAT (Student Achievement Tracking) number is mandatory for all students enrolled in recognized schools as it’s linked to the central education portal. My daughter’s school insisted on it last year before they could even process her board exam registration. If the school is not officially registered, they usually won't have access to the portal to generate these IDs, which might cause trouble for you during future transfers.

· Bengaluru11h agoJust to add, even if the school claims they aren't 'registered,' they still need to provide some form of learner ID for the state database. My son had his generated within a week of joining, but the school did charge a small processing fee for it. Please double-check with the admin department before you pay anything.
