Hi everyone, are your kids also having online classes for all subjects throughout April and May? Just wanted to check if this is the case for all grades or if it's just for us. How are your children coping with the extended screen time?

I have seen my nephew getting very irritable due to the extended screen time. We bought a dedicated laptop stand to ensure his posture is correct, which helped a little. Are you also finding it difficult to keep them focused during the late afternoon sessions?

Is it really for all subjects? That's too much! My kid's school has stopped all online classes after the annual exams, keeping only a few bridge course modules. You should definitely check if this is mandatory for everyone or just a suggestion.

It is the same situation in our school too. Honestly, I am more worried about their eyesight than their studies right now. I make sure my son takes a 10-minute break after every session to look at distant objects as suggested by our pediatrician.

That sounds exhausting. My son is in Grade 9 and they only have online sessions for Math and Science, while other subjects are self-study. It's a much better balance. You might want to suggest a hybrid approach to your class teacher.

Hi, same here. Our school has declared online classes for all grades till May end. My daughter in Grade 6 is struggling with headaches because of the constant screen time, so we’ve started using blue-light glasses. Have you tried asking your school if they can reduce the synchronous hours?
