Is the 'techno' school approach too much pressure?

· Bengaluru1d agoI totally agree with you. We shifted our daughter out last year for the same reason, and her mental health has improved so much. It feels like they only care about ranks and not actual learning.

· Bengaluru1d agoMy son is currently in 8th grade at a similar institute. It is very stressful, yes, but the competitive environment helps some kids. It really depends on your child's temperament; if they are already stressed, please take your sister-in-law's advice.

· Bengaluru1d agoIt definitely depends on the branch, but the management in these big chains is generally very rigid. Have you considered looking at some of the smaller, private ICSE schools in the area? They usually have a better balance of extracurriculars and academics.

· Bengaluru13h agoToo much pressure, no doubt. My cousin's boy stopped eating properly because of the weekend test schedules. My suggestion: look for schools that emphasize 'learning outcomes' rather than just rote memorization and endless worksheets.

· Bengaluru8h agoHonestly, these techno schools are just factories for IIT coaching from Class 6. My nephew was in the same Chaitanya branch, and the daily 'Common Practice Tests' destroyed his confidence completely. If your child is struggling, please don't wait—move them to a CBSE school with a more holistic approach before they start hating books entirely.
