Is the 'techno' school approach too much pressure?

I am really concerned about the intense pressure at these 'techno' schools. My sister-in-law recently had to pull her daughter out of the Chaitanya branch in Ram Murthy Nagar because it was just too much for her. Are others feeling the same way about the workload, or is it just specific branches? I'd love to hear your experiences.

I totally agree with you. We shifted our daughter out last year for the same reason, and her mental health has improved so much. It feels like they only care about ranks and not actual learning.

My son is currently in 8th grade at a similar institute. It is very stressful, yes, but the competitive environment helps some kids. It really depends on your child's temperament; if they are already stressed, please take your sister-in-law's advice.

It definitely depends on the branch, but the management in these big chains is generally very rigid. Have you considered looking at some of the smaller, private ICSE schools in the area? They usually have a better balance of extracurriculars and academics.

Too much pressure, no doubt. My cousin's boy stopped eating properly because of the weekend test schedules. My suggestion: look for schools that emphasize 'learning outcomes' rather than just rote memorization and endless worksheets.

Honestly, these techno schools are just factories for IIT coaching from Class 6. My nephew was in the same Chaitanya branch, and the daily 'Common Practice Tests' destroyed his confidence completely. If your child is struggling, please don't wait—move them to a CBSE school with a more holistic approach before they start hating books entirely.
