Could someone please clarify what is meant by 'day time' classes? Does this mean the usual school hours, or is there a specific window they are referring to? I'm a bit confused by the wording in the latest circular.

Usually, this refers to the standard 8 AM to 2 PM schedule, but you should check if they are introducing a new batch for remedial classes in the afternoon. My daughter’s school used the same term last year when they started mandatory extra coaching for Grade 10, so it’s better to call the coordinator to be sure.

I was confused by this too! I spoke to the class teacher this morning and she confirmed it just means regular operational hours, not extended shifts. It’s just confusing terminology they used in the circular.

In our school, 'day time' classes actually meant the non-residential stream for students who don't stay in the hostel. Please check if your school is trying to differentiate between the day scholars and the boarders in the new circular.

I wouldn't overthink it, it’s likely just standard school hours. Just drop a quick message to the admin office; they are usually quick to reply if you ask clearly.

Does this mean they are shifting the primary section to the second half of the day? I’ve seen some schools doing that to manage space, so you should definitely clarify if the pick-up time is changing for your child.
