Is Shristi (Mahe) good for BFA vs BVA?

Hi everyone, I've heard that Shristi (Mahe) is a good choice for BFA, but I'm not sure if it's the right fit for BVA. Has anyone had experience with their BVA program? Would love to know if it's worth considering or if I should look elsewhere.

Is there a specific reason you are comparing BFA vs BVA? My nephew did BFA there and felt the workload was quite intense compared to other private colleges. Just make sure your child is prepared for the long studio hours.

My son is an alumnus. Shristi is fantastic for creative freedom, but do keep in mind that the fee structure is a bit high. If you are looking for a very structured, traditional fine arts training, you might want to look at a few state-run colleges as well.

Hi, my daughter is currently in her second year of BVA at Shristi. Honestly, the curriculum is very industry-focused and they put a lot of emphasis on practical portfolio building rather than just theory, which is what we were looking for. I would suggest you check their recent graduate placements before deciding.

I have seen many students choose BVA at Shristi for the interdisciplinary approach. It is definitely worth considering if your child wants to explore digital media alongside traditional arts.

Please don't just look at the course title. Go visit the campus once and talk to the HOD directly; that helped us a lot when we were confused between the two programs last year.
