Hi everyone, I am considering enrolling my child in SIP Abacus classes and heard they focus a lot on brain gym exercises. Does anyone have experience with this program? Is it actually helpful for improving concentration and math skills, or is it just hype? Would love to hear your honest feedback before I sign up.

Is it really helpful? I feel like our kids are already so burdened with school homework and tuition. I’m worried that adding Abacus will just be another stressor. Has anyone noticed if it actually helps with complex word problems or just basic arithmetic?

Hi, my daughter has been attending SIP Abacus for the last two years. Honestly, it has worked wonders for her calculation speed, especially in mental math, but don't expect a magic boost in her school grades overnight. It definitely helps with focus, but consistency is the key—you have to make sure they practice those modules at home every single day.

My son finished the program last year. I’d say it’s great for building initial confidence in numbers, but once they move to higher levels, it gets quite repetitive. If you are doing it, join a center that has a good, patient teacher—that makes all the difference.

We enrolled our son for six months and then pulled him out. He enjoyed the brain gym part, but he didn't really show much improvement in his school math tests. Maybe it works for some, but I think regular practice of school textbooks is more than enough.

I have seen a huge difference in my kid's concentration levels since joining. The brain gym exercises really help calm them down before they start the math drills. I’d suggest you try a one-month trial class first to see if your child actually enjoys the process.
