Is Deccan International School good for academics and activities?

We moved our son out of DIS last year. While the school environment is nice, we felt the focus shifted way too much towards extracurriculars, and the core subjects were getting neglected. Just be sure to clarify your priorities before enrolling.

I have seen their campus and it is quite well-maintained. The teachers seem approachable, but I suggest you try to visit during their annual day or a working day to get a real feel for the classroom environment yourself.

Does anyone know if the IGCSE curriculum is being handled by the same faculty as ICSE? I am planning to shift my son next year and am worried about the transition period.

My nephew has been there for three years. He’s much more confident now because the school pushes them to participate in inter-school fests constantly. It is a good choice if you want an all-rounder child, not just a bookworm.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 7 at DIS. Academics are definitely strong, especially in the ICSE wing, but honestly, the workload can get quite intense by the time they reach middle school. If your child is into sports, the facilities are decent, but ensure they don't get overwhelmed with too many extra classes after hours.
