· Bengaluru2d agoHi! Don't get confused, they are actually two different wings in the same campus. Ryan International (RIS) usually follows ICSE, while Ryan Global follows the Cambridge curriculum. My nephew is in the ICSE section and the teaching style is very traditional compared to the hands-on approach of IGCSE. It really depends on whether you are looking at preparing for Indian competitive exams or planning for international universities later.

· Bengaluru2d agoMy son is in grade 5 at Ryan Global and we specifically chose IGCSE because of the project-based learning. ICSE is very heavy on theory and exams, which we wanted to avoid. I’d suggest you talk to the subject teachers about the internal assessment patterns for the higher grades to see if it aligns with your expectations.

· Bengaluru1d agoThanks for asking this, I was also wondering the same thing! I have heard from other parents that the IGCSE curriculum is much more flexible, but the ICSE board gives a very strong foundation in basics like math and science. If you have the flexibility, maybe ask the school office for a curriculum mapping chart to see which path suits your daughter better.

· Bengaluru1d agoJust a heads up, the fee structures are also quite different for both boards. I know a few parents who moved their kids from ICSE to Global, but it was a big adjustment for the child in terms of how they study. You should definitely check if your daughter prefers exams or continuous assessments.

· Bengaluru23h agoAre you planning on moving abroad for her higher studies? If yes, stick with Cambridge (Global). Otherwise, the ICSE syllabus is much better recognized for local entrance exams like JEE or NEET. It’s a personal call, but that’s how most of us in the neighborhood decided.
