Hi everyone, I am considering Harvest International for my child. I have heard it is a good school, especially for those who prefer smaller class sizes. Does anyone have recent experience with them? Would you recommend it as a solid option? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

We moved our son to Harvest last year. Honestly, the focus on academics is balanced, and he seems much happier than in his previous school. Just ensure you live within a reasonable distance, as the school bus routes can get a bit lengthy during peak traffic hours.

I would definitely recommend it if you prefer a school that isn't purely focused on rote learning. My son has been there for two years and the project-based approach really helped his confidence. One piece of advice: do visit during a working day if you can, rather than just the orientation, so you can see how the kids interact during break times.

My nephew is studying there. It's a decent school, but have you considered the commute from your area? That's usually the deciding factor for most parents in our group.

Is Harvest still following the same curriculum structure for the senior grades? I’ve heard rumors about some faculty changes recently, which is making me a bit hesitant for my daughter's high school years.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 there. You are right about the small class sizes; the teachers are actually able to give individual attention, which is a big plus compared to the big-brand schools. However, keep in mind that the sports infrastructure is a bit limited compared to some others in the area, so if your child is very into competitive sports, you might want to double-check that.
