NPS Jakkur vs. legacy NPS schools: Is there a difference?

We are currently shortlisting schools for our child and NPS Jakkur is on our list. For those with kids already studying there, how does it compare to the older, established NPS branches in terms of academics and campus culture? We’d love to know if the quality and discipline are at par with the legacy branches before we make a final decision. Any insights or experiences would be super helpful!

I have seen both. While the legacy branches have a certain 'reputation' and alumni network, the teaching quality at Jakkur is very much at par. Don't worry too much about the legacy tag; the management ensures the same level of discipline is maintained across all their units.

Does anyone know if they have started the after-school coaching programs at Jakkur yet? We are leaning towards it, but I’m concerned if the extracurricular activities are as developed as they are in the older branches.

Just keep in mind that legacy branches have a very strict, almost rigid culture that some kids struggle with. Jakkur feels slightly more balanced. If you want the 'NPS brand' for academics but a better campus experience, Jakkur is a solid choice.

My son moved from an older branch to Jakkur last year. The transition was smooth, and I find the teachers here to be slightly more approachable, perhaps because the school is still building its culture. Academically, you won't find any drop in standards, trust me.

Hi, my daughter is in Grade 4 at Jakkur. Honestly, the academics are quite rigorous and they follow the same NPS curriculum pattern as Indiranagar or Koramangala. The only difference is that the campus is much more modern and spacious compared to the older, cramped ones, which is a huge plus for sports.
