Stop comparing kids and their career paths

Let's stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. Every child has their own unique path and pace. Also, don't stress too much about Computer Science; it's a subject that can be learned quite easily if they are interested. Focus on your own child's strengths instead of following the herd.

I totally agree with you. My daughter was pressured to take JEE coaching in 10th grade, but she hated it and her grades dropped. We finally let her shift to Psychology and she is doing so much better now. It’s all about finding that spark, not just chasing a degree.

Very well said. But how do you handle the pressure from relatives? Every family gathering turns into an interrogation about my son's college applications.

It's easy to say, but hard to ignore the herd mentality when your child’s peers are all joining elite coaching centers. We are trying to keep a balance, but it is a daily struggle.

This is so true! Everyone is running behind CS engineering like it's the only way to earn money. Have you seen the market saturation lately? I have seen so many kids struggling because they were forced into coding without any real interest.

Exactly my thought. I suggest you try looking into liberal arts colleges that focus on skill-based learning rather than just the label of the university. My nephew went that route and got a better job than most of his engineering-grad friends.
