· Bengaluru1d agoIs this only for the new ones? My son has been in a legacy international school for five years, and I never thought to cross-check this. Where can I find the official list of recognised schools for Bangalore?

· Bengaluru1d agoGood point. My neighbor is a teacher and she mentioned that even if they are affiliated to international boards like IB or Cambridge, they still need state recognition to function legally in Karnataka. It's really stressful for us parents.

· Bengaluru1d agoDon't just rely on what they say during the tour. Always ask for the affiliation letter from CBSE or ICSE and cross-verify the registration number on the board’s website. My cousin’s school got shut down mid-term, and it was a nightmare for everyone.

· Bengaluru1d agoThis is exactly why I didn't enroll my daughter in that new 'Global' academy near Whitefield. When I asked for their affiliation documents, the admissions office started giving excuses about 'pending paperwork' with the Education Department. Please check the UDISE code on their official website; if that is missing, stay far away.

· Bengaluru18h agoI faced this issue last year. Many of these schools operate under a 'trust' but don't have the final No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the state government. You should visit the Block Education Office (BEO) personally; they are quite helpful if you just ask them to verify the school name.
