· Bengaluru2d agoGood tip, but do be careful with the WhatsApp groups. Sometimes they get too noisy with all the housekeeping complaints and flower-pot issues. I suggest you try creating a separate sub-group specifically for 'Parenting & Kids' so you don't miss the important announcements amidst the apartment gossip.

· Bengaluru2d agoVery true. My daughter met her best friend in our building just by hanging out at the basketball court every evening. Just send a polite message on the group and you will be surprised how many other parents are looking for the exact same thing.

· Bengaluru1d agoI have seen that this works best when you organize a small event, like a potluck or a cricket match. People are shy to meet one-on-one, but if you propose a group activity in the common area, neighbors are usually quite happy to join in. It really helps the kids bond beyond just seeing each other in the school bus.

· Bengaluru1d agoHas anyone managed to keep these meetups consistent? In our building, we start with great enthusiasm, but after two weeks, everyone gets busy with tuitions and piano classes. It is very hard to coordinate timings when our school schedules are so packed.

· Bengaluru13h agoThis is such a practical suggestion! We actually started a small 'weekend playgroup' in our complex last month. We just put a message on the main group asking for kids of similar age, and now five of us meet every Sunday at the park near the clubhouse. It has been a lifesaver for my son, who was spending way too much time on his tablet.
