· Bengaluru2d agoThanks for flagging this! I missed that circular. Does it mention if the caregiver needs to be from within the school or can it be someone from outside?

· Bengaluru1d agoAre you referring to the medical exemption circular? I saw it too. Usually, they prefer someone not related to the child to maintain impartiality, but maybe they have relaxed it for younger kids. Best to call the office tomorrow morning.

· Bengaluru20h agoHi, I think this depends on the grade level. My son is in 8th grade and the school explicitly mentioned that only students from lower grades can be scribes, not parents or caregivers. Please double-check with the class teacher once before you make any plans, as rules might differ for board exams.

· Bengaluru19h agoYes, our school sent an update last week regarding this. You need to submit a formal request with a medical certificate at least three days before the exam starts. Also, they will ask you to sign an undertaking that the caregiver will only write what is dictated without adding any inputs.

· Bengaluru8h agoI suggest you try to find a senior student instead of a caregiver if the school allows it. My daughter had a scribe last year and the teachers were very strict about the 'no-relation' rule. It might be safer to confirm the exact policy for your specific ward.
