Can we include alternative education in the options?

I was thinking it would be helpful if we could add alternative education systems to our list of options. It might give parents more variety when considering different schooling approaches. What does everyone think about including this? Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding these systems?

Have you considered homeschooling? My son has been doing it for two years now, and the flexibility is unbeatable, especially since we travel often for work. It requires a lot of patience and parental involvement, but the quality of time we spend together is worth it.

I’ve heard good things about Montessori methods, but finding a genuine one in our locality is a big challenge. Are you looking for something specific like homeschooling, unschooling, or just smaller alternative setups?

It would be great to have these options listed. Please do share if anyone knows of good democratic schools in the NCR region.

Very valid point! We enrolled our daughter in a Waldorf-inspired school last year, and honestly, the focus on hands-on learning is a relief compared to the rote memorization we see elsewhere. It does take some time for the child to adjust to the lack of formal textbooks, but she is definitely much happier now.

My nephew shifted to an experiential learning center in Bangalore, and while his social skills improved drastically, we were worried about how he would cope with the board exams later on. It’s a trade-off between creative freedom and traditional academic pressure, so definitely do your research on how they handle 10th and 12th standards.
