· Bengaluru2d agoI suggest you try looking at the previous year's papers for both. My nephew took Sanskrit but struggled with the writing section, so it really depends on the child's strength. Have you asked your school counselor about the class average for these subjects?

· Bengaluru2d agoWe chose Sanskrit for my elder one and it worked wonders for his total score. Just ensure you get a good tutor early on because the initial concepts can be a bit tricky to grasp without help.

· Bengaluru1d agoIs Sanskrit really easier? My son finds the devanagari script difficult to read, so we stuck with Hindi. I would suggest you check if your child has a natural interest in the subject, otherwise it becomes a burden in senior years.

· Bengaluru1d agoIn our school, almost 70% of the class takes Sanskrit specifically to boost their overall CGPA. It is a classic 'scoring subject' trick for CBSE students. If you are aiming for board merit, I’d say go for it.

· Bengaluru22h agoHi, my daughter is in Grade 9 and she opted for Sanskrit. Honestly, it is much more scoring because the grammar is very structured and formulaic, unlike Hindi literature where marks get deducted for spelling or phrasing. If your child is good at memorizing rules, Sanskrit is definitely a safer bet for a high percentage.
