· Bengaluru1d agoHonestly, after coming from the UK, any CBSE school in India will feel quite rigid. My niece struggled for a bit, but she eventually got used to the pace. Have you considered looking into international boards like IB or IGCSE instead? They might be a smoother transition for a child used to the UK education system.

· Bengaluru1d agoIs this for the Whitefield branch or the Haralur one? The management style varies a lot between branches. We had some issues with support for our son, but after we spoke directly to the coordinator, things improved significantly.

· Bengaluru15h agoWe are at Vibgyor too. The curriculum is very competitive, so tell your sister-in-law not to panic if the first term report card isn't great. It takes at least a full academic year for kids to adjust to the Indian school culture.

· Bengaluru4h agoHi, we moved from London to Bangalore last year and put our daughter in Vibgyor. Honestly, the transition for kids returning from the UK can be quite a shock because the syllabus here is way more rote-learning focused than what they are used to. My suggestion is to hire a home tutor for the first six months specifically for Math and Hindi, as those are the subjects where she might feel left behind initially.

· Bengaluru3h agoI have a different experience. My son joined Vibgyor in Grade 4 after moving back from Manchester and he settled in quite well. The school is decent, but please do not expect much hand-holding from the teachers regarding the cultural adjustment. You have to be proactive and attend all the parent-teacher meetings to ensure she isn't falling through the cracks.
