· Bengaluru3d agoI feel the same. It is all about the fancy infrastructure and the app updates these days, but when it comes to fundamental math and science, the kids are struggling. Are you finding this across all subjects or just in the core ones?

· Bengaluru2d agoMy experience has been mixed. While the school claims to follow CBSE guidelines, the pressure of periodic tests is so high that teachers have no time for interactive sessions. It’s a constant rat race from Grade 3 itself, which I find very worrying.

· Bengaluru2d agoWhich area are you in? We moved our son from a big brand school in Whitefield to a smaller, less hyped one nearby because the 'reputed' ones were just glorified coaching centers. The academic rigor is actually better now because the teacher-student ratio is manageable.

· Bengaluru1d agoHonestly, I agree with you. In my daughter's school, they finish the NCERT syllabus by November just to start 'exam prep' which is basically rote learning. I’ve started teaching her concepts from Khan Academy at home because the classroom focus is purely on finishing the portions rather than deep understanding.

· Bengaluru16h agoWe have seen a significant dip in quality post-pandemic. Teachers seem overwhelmed and half the time they are just reading from the textbook. I am seriously considering looking into alternative boards for my son’s middle school.
