Hi everyone, we are moving from the US and have already secured admissions at Chrysalis High, Yelahanka for our children in 8th and 11th grades (admissions were completed back in Sept 2023). We are starting to get nervous about the transition. Could any parents currently at this school share their experiences? How is the academic environment and culture there for older students?

Welcome to Yelahanka! My daughter is in 9th grade there, and honestly, the transition is smooth because the teachers are very approachable. For your 11th grader, make sure they get the book list early as the CBSE curriculum gets quite heavy from the start.

Are you planning on using the school bus or your own transport? Traffic near Yelahanka can get quite bad during peak hours, so do keep that in mind when planning their day.

Don't worry too much, the school culture is quite inclusive. My son joined in 8th grade last year and he settled in within a month. The sports facilities are decent, so do encourage your kids to join the after-school clubs to make friends quickly.

The academics are definitely rigorous, especially for the 11th grade. I have seen the seniors working quite hard on their projects, so just ensure your child keeps up with the internal assessments from day one. It’s a good school overall!

My kids have been there for three years now. It's a solid choice, just keep an eye on their peer group as the 11th graders can be a bit distracted with all the coaching center hype. Best of luck with the move!
