Hi everyone, I am considering Deccan International School for my child's Cambridge curriculum. My son studied there previously and we had such a positive experience throughout his time there. I wanted to hear from other parents what your current experience has been like with their Cambridge program. Would you recommend it?

Hi! My daughter is in Grade 8 at DIS, and frankly, the Cambridge curriculum implementation has been quite solid. The teachers are very approachable, and they focus a lot on conceptual clarity rather than rote learning. Just make sure you look into their recent batch results to see if they align with your son’s university goals.

I have seen mixed reviews lately. While the academics are good, I personally feel the sports infrastructure could be better managed. Have you visited the campus during school hours recently to check the current facilities?

My son is currently in the Cambridge stream there and we are quite happy. The faculty turnover was a concern a couple of years back, but it seems more stable now. Would definitely suggest you try to attend one of their open house sessions to get a feel for the current vibe.

We moved our son to Deccan last year for the IGCSE program. Honestly, the environment is very supportive, but be prepared for a heavy project-based workload. It helps with critical thinking, but your child needs to be disciplined with their deadlines.

It is a decent choice, but please consider the commute. If you live far, the travel time might exhaust him, which defeats the purpose of the Cambridge workload. Our experience with the faculty has been good otherwise.
