· Bengaluru2d agoI faced this dilemma two years ago! I suggest you try observing her for a week with some primary-level worksheets. If she can focus for 20 minutes without getting distracted, then go for it. Remember, UKG is when the real reading and writing start, so she shouldn't feel overwhelmed.

· Bengaluru2d agoHonestly, don't rush it. My son was born in late 2020 and I intentionally kept him in LKG for an extra year because I wanted him to be the tallest and most confident in his class. These age guidelines might seem rigid, but they actually help when the kids reach 10th grade and the pressure starts mounting. Better to have a mature child than one struggling to catch up.

· Bengaluru2d agoListen to your gut. My daughter was always ahead of her peers, and putting her in a grade earlier was the best decision we made. She is doing great now and never felt out of place.

· Bengaluru11h agoPlease reconsider. My niece was sent early and while she managed academics fine, she really struggled with the social dynamics when she hit middle school. Being the youngest in the group can lead to a lot of unnecessary stress during teenage years, so why not let her have that extra year of play?

· Bengaluru5h agoIs the school even allowing this? Most top-tier schools in our area are being super strict with the cut-off dates this year, and they are cross-verifying birth certificates during the document submission. Even if you feel she is ready, check with the admission office first or you might be blocked during the portal registration.
