Is the high school program here the right fit for your child?

I was recently looking into the high school curriculum offered at our school and wanted to start a discussion. Since these final years are so crucial for college prep and overall development, have you all found that the program meets your expectations? I would love to hear your thoughts on whether it aligns with what you are looking for in terms of academics and extracurriculars.

Is it just me, or is the math curriculum here becoming increasingly difficult without enough teacher support? I have seen my son struggling for weeks, and the school keeps saying he should just join extra classes. I am seriously reconsidering if we should move him to an IB board next year.

My daughter is in Grade 11 and honestly, the school's focus is way too much on internal assessments rather than JEE prep. I feel like she spends 6 hours a day on projects that don't help with competitive exams, so we had to enroll her in a separate coaching center in the evenings. Are you also feeling the pressure of balancing boards and entrance exams?

Honestly, I am quite satisfied. The school offers decent clubs for MUN and robotics, which helps with holistic development, not just marks. My son is quite happy here, but I do wish they had more options for specialized sports coaching after school hours.

We have been at this school for three years and I find the curriculum quite balanced. They push the kids hard, but it prepares them well for the college environment later on. Make sure you check if the current teacher handling the stream matches your child's learning style.

Too much focus on theory and not enough on practical application, if you ask me. I suggest you try talking to some senior parents during the next PTM to see how the alumni are performing in top colleges.
