Does Narayana focus on extra-curriculars?

Hi everyone, I’ve heard a few things about Narayana schools not really focusing on extra-curricular activities. For those of you with kids studying there, is this true? I’m concerned about finding a balance between academics and other activities, so any insights or personal experiences would be really helpful.

I suggest you try looking at some other CBSE or ICSE schools in your area. We faced the same issue, so we keep our son busy with football and guitar classes on weekends to compensate for the school's focus.

Is there any specific activity you are looking for? If it's just basic sports, they manage okay, but don't expect specialized training. My experience is that academics are the only priority.

My son was there for two years before we moved him out. They barely have time for assembly, let alone extra-curriculars. It is all about the competitive exams and finishing the syllabus early. Don't expect any holistic development there.

Hi, I have my daughter in Grade 7 at the Narayana branch in Whitefield. To be honest, it is very exam-oriented. They have some clubs, but they are more symbolic than anything serious. If you are looking for professional coaching in sports or arts, you will definitely need to enroll your child in external classes after school hours.

It really depends on the branch manager, honestly. Our branch has an hour of 'activity' on Saturdays, but most kids just use that time to finish their pending homework or remedial worksheets. If you want a balance, Narayana might not be the right fit for you.
